Advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment is integral to our work.

We integrate gender-responsive approaches across our research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities, while also conducting specialized studies on gender inequality, gender-based violence (GBV), intimate partner violence, and harmful traditional practices.

Our approach prioritizes ethical, inclusive, and gender-sensitive research practices, particularly when working on sensitive topics. We deploy appropriately gender-balanced data collection teams and ensure that enumerators, qualitative researchers, and technical experts receive rigorous training on gender sensitivity, inclusion, safeguarding, and responsible engagement with participants.

Through robust evidence and context-sensitive analysis, we help development and humanitarian partners better understand gender-related barriers, inequalities, and opportunities; and use those insights to design more equitable and inclusive policies and programs.
